Handcrafted Doors by Glen Silloway Little Chapel at Fort Story Base Virginia Beach, VA.
Glen and I met through a mutual friend in the 1980's. We lost contact with our friend for many years. Often we joked, about reconnecting with her and said we had a few unpleasant words for introducing us.(lol). In our over 30 years together, we have had our good and bad times, but have kept our lives together. Our proudest accomplishment has been our son, Jacob. He has grown into an amazing husband and father of three.
Glen and I joke about his name Glen, and the spelling with 1 "n" or "2". We are in favor of the 1 "n" spelling. Because Glen isn't a popular name, we groan out-loud everytime we hear it. Then, we have to find out if its a 1 or 2 n Glen.
We both enjoy working with our hands and creating using any material on hand. Glen, is the most skilled carpenter whose jobs reflect his insight into design and function. If you have loved or lived with a creative person, it can be a challenge for the other partner.
I am proud of his commitment to his clients and just wish he would work on our house. You know its a good thing he is not a shoemaker, because I would be barefoot....
P.S. I love you honey.
( He thinks honey is bee poop.)
